Mount Airy Green Fair 2023

Mount Airy is excited to officially announce its 1st ever-Mount Airy Green Fair. Brought to you the town by the Mount Airy Sustainability. It will be held in the Downtown municipal lot.  

Exhibitor highlights include:

The Mount Airy Sustainability Commission - Members will be on hand to discuss our Sustainability Designation and what it means to the Town. Learn more about important in-progress projects such as a Community Garden! FREE water will be served in environmentally-friendly Mount Airy paper cups. 

The Mount Airy Police Department – The Bike Patrol Unit will be in attendance to showcase the department’s two newly-donated EV bicycles. Learn how this addition to the MAPD fleet enhances patrol operations and the benefits they bring to the Community. There will also be crime prevention materials and our Police Dog will be performing demonstrations.

The Howard County Police Department – Stop by and give a warm welcome to one of our allied agencies and get an up-close look at the department’s cutting-edge EV motorcycles and an EV All-Terrain Vehicle. Learn more about their community outreach and the benefits of EV Vehicles in their daily operations.

Mount Airy Bikes – Larry Black has a passion for electric vehicles. His shop Has been selling electric bikes since it opened 41 years ago. They represent many major manufacturers and will have a representative from Go Cycle, one of the world's most innovative vehicles from England's finest engineers. Think Rolls, Bentley, Lotus, McLaren, and Jaguar! They will have two bikes to test ride and the highly-rated “Ghost bike” will be there! They will also be offering test rides in their company Chevy Bolt (that can carry 6 bikes at a time) and a Hyundai Kona EV. This event will be the perfect opportunity to discuss the best options for your family and budget and for that exhilarating test ride! 

Electrical Solutions – Local electrical experts will be on hand to display a home EV Charging Station and discuss all the “ins and outs” of installing home EV stations and solar power, cost, needs, etc. Are solar panels in your future? Be sure to inquire about the installation of solar panels cost and benefits.

Wondering if an electric vehicle is right for you? Local Tesla and EV Groups will be on hand with their members, vehicles, and informational handouts to help guide future planning. This widely promoted event will feature dozens of private owners 'EVs from Mount Airy and surrounding areas. Learn from first-hand local experience before you make the leap!
