[ARCHIVED] Planning Commission Meeting Tonight!

Tonight, April 29, at 7 pm, the Planning Commission will hold its regular monthly meeting at Town Hall (110 S. Main Street) in the Council Room. Among other items on the agenda will be a presentation by the developer of the proposed Prospect Place development (formerly the Cold Storage property). The Prospect Place concept plan proposes 114 Multifamily Apartments, and the extension of Rails-to-Trails through the property. The proposed development is located between Hill Street to its South and Prospect Road to its North, while also abutting a portion of Baker Street. The developer has submitted the proposed concept plan to the Planning Commission for approval pursuant to the Town Code. While the the concept plan review stage of development is not the end of the development review process by the Planning Commission, the concept plan review stage of development is a very important one. Developments at this stage, if approved, are granted water and sewer allocation, as well as Adequate Public Facilities Ordinance certification. In addition to the developer's presentation of its concept plan, a report and recommendation by the Town's Planning Staff is expected to be presented and, most importantly, public comment on the proposed concept plan is expected to be taken at tonight's meeting. If you have an opinion on the proposed development project, please show up for the meeting and make your opinions known. The Town wants to hear from you. The vote by the Planning Commission on the proposed concept plan is scheduled for the Planning Commission's regular meeting on May 20 at 7 pm at Town Hall. That May meeting will be held a week earlier than usual because the last Monday in May (the 27th) is Memorial Day
