Art Installations:

Witness captivating art installations featuring a diverse range of birds, crafted by local artist L. Zaborowski. Embark on an adventure and spot all 12 images of birds on Main Street! (*Hint one does not belong, but flew in for a visit. Do you know which one?)

While taking in a game of pickleball, enjoying a walk around the pond or having fun on the playground at Prospect Park, be sure to check out the birdhouses art installation located on the side of the Town's Public Works Building. The mural, also created by L. Zaborowski, features the nesting homes of several native birds including bluebirds, chickadees and tree swallows.

Videos

Town staff enjoyed an outstanding educational program at Carroll County Recreation and Parks Hashawha Environmental Center/Bear Branch Nature Center.

Staff learned about a number of raptors that call the area home including the bald eagle, kestrel, screech owl and red tailed hawk.

Each bird at the center has suffered an injury so they can not be released back into the wild. They now serve as educational ambassadors.

Check out some videos from the experience which are filled with fun facts on these magnificent birds and ways you can help protect and help those in the wild.

If you are in the Westminster area, we highly encourage you to stop by and check out the nature center, aviary and park area.
