With all this rain, it's starting to feel like Dagobah -- the planet Yoda went into hiding at in the Star Wars saga.
Using the Force, Yoda could move a stuck X wing in the Dagobah swamps. Unfortunately our Town staff do not have this power so we can not move stuck vehicles.
With this in mind, the Town will be moving the Mount Airy Farmers Market for this week to the parking lots at Watkins Park, 615 Center St.
Please do not park in the back three parking lots of the park as those spots need to go to our vendors. Patrons may park in the lot by the basketball court and St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church which has graciously given us permission to use their lot for this event.
If the rain stops and fields are OK to play on for sporting events, Parr's Ridge Elementary School is an option for parking after 4:30 p.m.
We appreciate everyone's patience with trying to navigate all the rain this market season. We hope you will come out and support our amazing vendors at the market on Wednesday from 3 to 7 p.m.
