[ARCHIVED] Tree trimming to occur Jan. 6-10 in Windy Ridge Park

Tree trimming to occur Jan. 6 to 10 in Windy Ridge Park area.

Tree trimming will be taking place from Jan. 6 to 10 at Windy Ridge Park.

BGE has contracted with Precision Tree Service to perform tree trimming and brush cutting within the high-voltage transmission line corridor in Windy Ridge Park. We are urging those visiting Windy Ridge Park to use extreme caution if you visit the park during this time.

Areas where vegetation management crews are working should be avoided due to the operation of heavy machinery and possible falling limbs. Precautions should be taken to ensure that children and pets do not wander accidentally into these areas.

An update will be provided once the maintenance has been completed.

We recognize the concerns associated with the proposed high-voltage transmission line that our region has been responding to the past several months. We want to clarify that the work being performed is part of routine maintenance that occurs approximately every five years and is not associated with the Maryland Piedmont Reliability Project.
